It is fall, and a fisherman has just pulled up his boat onto the beach at the East Humber River, causing ripples to extend out onto the water.
I added the empty red boat as an invitation to the viewer to wade out to the boat and step in. As there are no oars, those who choose to come out will discover the art of resting as they listen to the water lapping against the boat, the sight of the various birds and feel the cool, fresh air against their face.
